Celebrate Juneteenth with our informative & interactive event featuring the "Juneteenth: Exploring Freedom's Stories" screening from Annenberg Classroom and activity stations throughout the Library.

A day commemorating when the last enslaved people in the U.S. were finally informed that they were free.  Celebrate this historic day with crafts, games, and related foods. 

Friday, June 20, 1:00-5:00 PM, Marion County Public Library 
Bring the whole family to celebrate Juneteenth at the Library with activities, crafts, refreshments, and a movie! As part of our Juneteenth Celebration, we will show HIDDEN FIGURES (PG) starting at 2:00pm.

Thur. June 26 | 3:00-4:30 PM Columbus Public Library | Genealogy Department Deep Roots II: Follows 2024’s Juneteenth program by giving examples of success tracing black family history to slavery in Columbus and nearby counties.
