Come join us for a free day of family fun on October 19 as we celebrate the South Columbus Public Library's Grand Reopening at 2034 South Lumpkin Road from 10:30am - 2pm. It will be an unforgettable day for the entire community featuring tours, crafts, free food, entertainment, BabaTunde the Storyteller and character appearances by Bluey and Bingo.
Doors open at 10am and we'll have the official Ribbon Cutting at 10:30am.
Welcome Back! The South Columbus Public Library Is Open!
The newly renovated South Columbus Public Library is back and better than ever! After 22 months of work, we’ve more than doubled our space—now boasting 21,000 square feet of bright, modern areas designed for everyone in the community.
Whether you’re an adult, teen, or child, there’s a place for you to explore, learn, and relax. The Library now features dedicated spaces for adults and teens, with comfortable seating, computers, and plenty of room to study or hang out. Families will love the colorful Children’s Department with a storytime stage, a padded play area, and even an outdoor garden space.
We’re also excited to introduce the Everbright, an interactive light wall that sparks creativity and fun for all ages!
