The Chattahoochee Valley Libraries is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Full Time Maintenance Coordinator.

Position requires: Applicants will have a broad knowledge of hand tools and general repairs; reading blueprints and wiring schematic. Must be able to preform basic math, understand written procedures, write routine document, speak clearly, and understand both written and oral instructions. Specific knowledge based competencies required to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job include: meters and gauges; troubleshooting problems; knowledgeable in using hand tools of all types. Required to schedule activities, gather and/or collate data, and use basic, and use job-related equipment. Must be able to operate equipment using a variety of standardized methods. Will be required to work with a diversity of individuals, work with a variety of data, and utilize a variety of job-related equipment. Some problem solving may be required to identify issues and select action plans. All applicants must have a High School diploma or GED; have high energy and pleasing dispositions. EPA Type I certified preferred. Applicants will need 5 years general maintenance experience and 0-2 years supervisory experience preferred.

Salary: $19.63 – $35.42 (Salary will be determined based on Licenses, Certificates, and Experience)

The Chattahoochee Valley Libraries is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Part Time Library Assistant at the Columbus Public Library (Circulation Dept.). This is a 19-hour per week position.

Position Requires: All applicants must have a High School diploma or GED; have high energy and pleasing dispositions. Applicants must have a passion for public service, show currency and proficiency with Internet searching & Microsoft Office applications; have a record of being responsible and dependable, and the ability to communicate effectively with supervisor, staff, and the public. Applicants must enjoy working in fast-paced environments with customers of all ages. Applicants must also be available to report to any branch in the system and work nights and weekends in rotation. Prior library experience, Polaris experience, bi-lingual, and experience teaching computer classes would be standout qualities. Bilingual a plus.
