Tumblebooks

TumbleBook Library is an online collection of TumbleBooks – animated, talking picture books which teach children the joy of reading in a format they’ll love. TumbleBooks are created by adding animation, sound, music and narration to existing picture books in order to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you.

TumbleBooks is easy to use and is designed to be experienced in either automatic or manual mode. In automatic mode, the pages turn by themselves and are narrated; while in manual, the narration and animation continue but children turn the pages at their own speed. The sound off/on button allows the child to mute the narration and read to themselves. Some books have a Word Helper feature that allows you to click on a book to hear a sentence repeated, or click on a volcabulary word in order to hear it pronounced. If a book has this function, it will show on the right side of the listing page.

TumbleBooks has a collection of online puzzles featuring a picture from a book and a collection of concentration games, spelling games and “fill-in-the blank” games reinforcing concepts from a book.   Download the free app Google Play | iOS
