Healthy Minds, Healthy Life with the Pastoral Institute Library Programs

This winter and spring, the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries are pleased to present a series of programs in partnership with our friends from the Pastoral Institute. Each program is a casual, low-pressure get-together to talk about issues of mental health and mental wellness and is led by a Pastoral Institute Counselor.

“The Pastoral Institute team is committed to identifying critical mental health access gaps that exist in our community and investing in collaborations that create solutions by removing significant barriers to care,” says Mary Johnson, Director of Advancement for the Institute. “Our vision is to be a safe place for peace and healing where every person can be heard without fear of judgement… We hope that by partnering to provide our mental health education and support programs at Chattahoochee Valley Library branches, we can effectively work together to remove the barriers of stigma, cost, and transportation that so often prevent our neighbors from seeking help.”

All programs are free and open to the public, and (unless further noted) do not require an advance reservation. Drop ins are welcome!
