Need a book or an article that our library does not own?

You can complete an InterLibrary Loan Request and staff will make every effort to locate the item. The Library will attempt to borrow the item from another library system. If the item is unavailable through InterLibrary Loan, it will be considered for purchase. InterLibrary Loan is a library service that enables us to borrow and lend materials to libraries outside the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries.

Please follow these steps when making a request:

1. Check CVL’s catalog to see if we own the item(s). Library staff will be happy to help you with this search.
2. If we do not own the item or if the last copy is missing, fill out the InterLibrary Loan Request Form .
3. If you are interested in renewing an ILL item, please call the ILL department at least 3 days before the due date.  Renewals are not guaranteed. ILL’s can be recalled by the loaning library at any time.

If another library is able to fill the request, it normally takes two weeks to arrive. Since items are borrowed from other libraries, it is imperative that items are returned on the due date. If items are not returned, patrons will be charged the cost of the item(s) set by the loaning library.

For more information, please contact the InterLibrary Loan Department at 706-243-2669 ext. 2683.
