There’s just something about the atmosphere of the library that is some people just love. Seeing all the books on the shelves, the smell, the ambiance… however, this is not for everyone, and the use of a physical library is not nearly as popular as it once was. These days, technology is booming more than ever and this is why we have the online library. Most people would rather pick up their laptop or their phone rather than drive to the library. We offer many online services.
Unlike a physical library, an online library is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This can be beneficial to everyone, especially college students who may have a homework emergency. It is also accessible from anywhere! At your home, in your dorm, in the car, the coffee shop… the possibilities are endless! If you have internet, you have an online library.
Unlike traditional libraries where only a few copies of the same book are available, an online library allows multiple users to check out the same books at the same time. No lines, no waiting, just a few clicks and you are done!
Another benefit of an online library is the fact that is is always going to be up-to-date and organized.
The website offers audio-books, e-books, magazines, freegal music, and even a mobile app: “Chattahoochee Valley Libraries”. Thanks to features like Zinio and Tumblebooks, you have access to many downloadable items! We also offer a search that will pull information straight from our database here at the library. This lets you know what is and is not available to check out. There may be several reasons you cannot physically go to the library. Luckily, you can access almost everything from your fingertips.
Go check out our “Download It” and “Research It” tabs to see for yourself!
