Read books… Win Things! 2021-22 Winter Reading Challenge Is Here!

The Chattahoochee Valley Libraries have a great way to encourage you to read this holiday season and new year!

Starting December 20 and running through January 31, 2022, readers in the Valley can participate in the 2021-22 Winter Reading Challenge for a chance to win $100 gift cards and more!

Similar to the Libraries’ popular Summer Reading Challenge, the Winter Reading Challenge can be completed by any one at any age. The rules are simple:

  • For children, read (or be read) 30 books
  • For older children (who read chapter books), teens and adults, read for 15 hours

You will be able to track your reading one of two ways:

That’s it! One you have hit your goal, stop by  your favorite branch of the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries (if you filled out a printed log, bring that with you). We’ll check your log and you’ll be given a completion prize and will be entered into the Grand Prize drawing for a $25 to $100 VISA gift card.

Let’s start Reading! and Winning!

Everyone who completes a reading log is eligible to receive one of our completion prizes (subject to availability). This winter the prizes include:

  • For children – your choice of a free book to keep from our Winter Reading prize collection
  • For teens – Chattahoochee Valley Libraries ear buds
  • Adults receive the annual commemorative Chattahoochee Valley Libraries coffee mug

All readers who complete and submit logs are entered into the Grand Prize drawing for a VISA gift card.

One completion prize per person will be awarded during this contest, subject to availability. All reading must take place between December 20, 2021 and January 31, 2022. Completion Prizes or Grand Prizes will not be awarded for reading completed before December 20, 2021. Completion Prizes must be claimed in person at a branch of the Chattahoochee Valley Libraries by January 31, 2022. The Grand Prizes will be drawn from all completed reading logs on February 4th, 2021 and winners will be notified Monday, February 8th. Grand Prizes not claimed in person by February 28th, 2022 may be forfeited.

The 2021-22 Winter Reading Challenge is sponsored in part by the Muscogee County Friends of Libraries.
