Place A Hold For Curbside Pickup

The Chattahoochee Valley Libraries are pleased to announce that you can begin checking out books, DVDs, and CDs.  Local libraries are now offering contactless Curbside pickup for items placed on hold by patrons at 7 branch locations. Your holds will be safely delivered to your vehicle, with no need to come into the Library itself.

During this time customers can return materials during our new temporary operating hours which vary by location.  Click on your favorite branch for details.


The following branch locations are offering Curbside Hold Pick Up.  Please call the appropriate number when you arrive.

At this time book drops remain closed to the public. We know you are eager to learn about how we’ll be phasing in services over the next several weeks.  Please read our phased reopening plan for updated service information.  Visit the library website at www.cvlga.org  and (Facebook: chatlibraries) for changes and the most up-to-date information about library services.

How It Works 

Step 1.  Place your items on hold through the online catalog or our new mobile app.

Step 2.  We will notify you by phone, text, or email when your holds are available for pick up.

Step 3.  Call the number displayed outside when you arrive.

Step 4. Library staff will check out your holds and deliver items to your car trunk or the table outside.

Remember, all Libraries remain closed to the public at this time.  Returns are being accepted during our new temporary curbside hold pick up hours.  Please note: Curbside hold pick up service is subject to suspension at any time to maintain the health and safety of our community.

Q.  What materials are available for checkout?

We are circulating books, dvds, cds, Launchpads, Steam Kits and many of our Park Passes. 

Q.  What time can I pick up my items?

Please refer to the new temporary Curbside Service branch location links listed above for dates and times as they vary.

Q: Can I return materials?

Yes, you can return materials in designated quarantine bins during Curbside Service hours.  Book drops remain closed until further notice.

Q. I returned my items, but my account does not reflect that they are checked back in.  

We are placing all materials in designated quarantine bins to ensure the safety of our staff and customers. Your items will be marked returned after that time period.  

Q: Do I need my Library card?

No, because you placed the item on hold, staff will have it already checked out to you and ready for your when you arrive.

Q: What if I don’t have a Library card?

You can apply for an e-card to access our digital collections instantly.

Q: Can Library staff help me with Overdrive/Kindle/Libby/Hoopla/computer questions, etc..?

About our Safety Practices 
Materials returned to Libraries will be quarantined for 4 days before being placed back in circulation.
Staff will be following social distancing guidelines and will wear proper protective gear at all times when handling materials.
