Chattahoochee Valley Libraries Responds to (COVID-19) Coronavirus

All Local Libraries and Book Drops Close until Further Notice. Digital Services and Distance Learning Resources Remain Available 24/7

All Chattahoochee Valley Libraries remain closed to the public until further notice to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In the interest of public health we are also closing our book drops and 24-Hour branches at 5pm today. While we regret we need to implement these measures, we feel it’s in the best interest of our community.

Until further notice:
*Customers are not required to return any materials. 
* Due dates and holds will be extended.
*
Hoopla checkouts have been increased from 10-20.

Staff will be regularly monitoring  pachelp@cvlga.org  or  cvl24@cvlga.org  for unusual circumstances or inquiries regarding blocked accounts for customers during this time.

Digital Services
CVL offers a vast collection of digital resources for the public including ebooks, audiobooks, free movie and music streaming services, as well as educational databases free of charge with a library card. An ecard is also a convenient alternative for customers who wish to sign up to use digital services during this time.   The Library’s new mobile app is perfect way to stay connected.

Distance Learning
Our libraries are committed to ensuring student success throughout the year.  CVL has developed a universal login for the following online educational resources:

Brainfuse
– Live online tutoring from 2pm-11pm daily for students in grades K-12. Tutors assist with all subjects including SAT/ACT prep. The service is free and unlimited.
LearningExpress Library – Interactive online platform that features over 770 practice tests for GED, ASVAB, and school entrance exams as well as basic skills in reading, writing, and math for all ages.
Tumblebooks- Online collection of ebooks for students in grades k-8 that include picture books, read alongs, chapter books and graphic novels.  No holds and no waiting.

These resources are available with an internet enabled device 24/7. Login information and online tutorials are available on the library website for user convenience.
