“Books for Babies” Promotes Literacy In Our Community

February 24, 2014

Chattahoochee Valley Libraries will partner with Disney On Ice Presents Princesses & Heroes for an Encore “Books for Babies” Drive on Sunday, March 2, from 2pm-4pm. Donate three NEW board books and receive one ticket, while supplies last, for entrance to the opening night show on March 21st at 7pm and a FREE skate at the Columbus Ice Rink. Last year the partnership collected more than 1,000 books and has set a goal to exceed that number.

Launched in 2013 to raise awareness about the importance of reading from onset, “Books for Babies” desires to send each mother home from the hospital with her bundle of joy and a brand new board book. Our beneficiary this year is The Children’s Hospital at Midtown Medical Center.
