2011 AFLAC Vacation Reading Program Arrives May 21st
ONE WORLD, MANY STORIES
The 2011 AFLAC Vacation Reading Program
The AFLAC Vacation Reading Program wants you to share ONE WORLD, MANY STORIES at your library!
It will be a great summer of shows, stories and crafts as we take a global tour through the magic of reading. There will also be prizes for those that can read 10 books or for 10 hours, including a chance to win a collection of books from one of your favorite authors!
You can sign up at any Chattahoochee Valley Library beginning May 21st. It’s easy to participate…
1. Sign up and receive your reading log.
2. As you read or listen to stories this summer write the titles of the books or the amount of time you spend reading each book on your reading log.
3. Once you have read 10 books or for 10 hours, bring your completed log back to your library. You can then select your very own prize from the treasure chest and enter the drawing to win one of the book collections.
4. Each time you read 10 books or 10 hours you get to place another entry into the grand prize drawing. The more you read, the better your chances of winning!
5. Be sure to have your logs turned in by July 17, 2011.
6. For Babies – this year we have a special reading log so that parents, grandparents, and siblings can read to the littlest ones. Babies can be entered in the grand prize drawing as well!
The AFLAC Vacation Reading Program is open to all children from age birth to eleven. Teen Readers have their own reading program, where the grand prize winner will receive an X-Box Kinect Bundle. More information for teens can be found here.
The fun doesn’t stop there! We have hundreds of programs sure to entertain everyone. Here are some of the highlights:
